viaEuropa Cloud services included
at launch of G-Cloud 9

PRESS RELEASE – 30 May 2017

G-Cloud 9, the latest iteration of the UK Government’s procurement framework for cloud services, launched this week with the inclusion of viaEuropa Cloud services.

viaEuropa Cloud services allow public sector organisations to quickly and easily consume definitive Ordnance Survey digital map content as a service, without incurring traditional data management overheads. The award-winning services have been available on the framework since G-Cloud 3 and have proved popular amongst government departments, local authorities and emergency services alike. Utilising the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA), the services feature high quality cartography and enable simple integration of the most detailed mapping available for Great Britain into desktop, web and mobile mapping applications.

Duncan Hill, Business Development Director, comments, “We are pleased to see that once again viaEuropa has been included on the G-Cloud framework. G-Cloud continues to provide an easy way for our clients to subscribe with the added benefit of a robust service level agreement. For G-Cloud 9 we have added new subscription tiers and now include base map services such as WMTS and WMS, web feature services to enable users to interrogate and snap to features from OS MasterMap Topography Layer, and gazetteer services to quickly search for addresses, postcodes and localities. We are confident that these viaEuropa Cloud services will help to free up valuable internal resources in many more public sector organisations across Great Britain.”
