The Czech Republic is a landlocked country situated in Central Europe and bordered by Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovakia. The capital city is Prague.

The service sector accounts for around 60% of the economy, including tourism and Prague is the world’s fifth most visited city. This is followed by industry, particularly automotive, and a small proportion of agriculture.
It is culturally a very rich nation, with abundant heritage in the arts, music and architecture and sport. Its literary tradition played an important role during many years of oppression. It has a renowned film industry.
On the world stage, it is a member of the United Nations, NATO and the European Union.

Global CRESTA Plus is our digital implementation of the CRESTA standard. Please note that both products are at the same scale and accuracy, but the high resolution version contains more granular zones which are generally required for catastrophe modelling applications using CRESTA zones.
