celebrates 30th anniversary

British location intelligence business Europa Technologies is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Formed in 1990, the company has enjoyed solid growth while developing its impressive portfolio of products and services using the fusion of geography and data science. Record sales were achieved in the financial year closing 2019.
Founder and Director Warren Vick, said: “There have been some incredible changes over the past three decades, including the birth of the mainstream Internet, Google and mobile phone networks. Europa Technologies established itself in the GIS marketplace with a range of global map data products. Today, these continue to be the industry’s reference standard and are used by a variety of organisations around the world. The global data is used by the ubiquitous Google Maps and Google Earth platforms.
Ten years ago, Europa Technologies launched its viaEuropa platform which now has a proven track record in delivering high quality maps as a service using OGC-compliant standards.
