On Earth Day 2015, Europa Technologies has announced an online product delivery incentive. The company currently delivers its disc-based products worldwide using express courier services. As part of on-going efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, Europa Technologies is encouraging new and existing clients to take delivery using a secure online download service. As an incentive, the company will contribute funds to tree-planting schemes in proportion to the sales value.
The Europa Technologies website (https://www.europa.uk.com) will keep a running tally of trees planted and the company has pledged to kick-off the programme with funding for 1000 trees in Brazil’s Atlantic rainforest. The company will fund planting through a number of organisations worldwide, starting with the Plant a Billion Trees campaign from the Nature Conservancy.
The company’s founder and director Warren Vick, said: “On Earth Day, we have taken further steps in being an environmentally responsible company. Forests help sustain all life on earth and we are proud to help make a difference by contributing on-going funds to many worthy restoration projects.”
Europa Technologies has been developing its environmental profile over a number of years. Its award-winning viaEuropa service, plus Network Insight Pro (telecoms) and Risk Insight (insurance) solutions, are exclusively powered by green energy. Data centres run on 100% carbon dioxide-free and environmentally-friendly hydro-power – considered to be the best form of electricity generation for the environment.
