Europa Technologies has today announced that new versions of its award-winning viaEuropa Cloud services have been accepted onto G-Cloud 6 – the latest iteration of the UK Government’s cloud computing framework. G-Cloud enables public sector bodies to easily and cost-effectively procure services in a number of different cloud technology categories.
The new service options were designed to deliver even better value to public sector organisations. Duncan Hill, Business Development Director, comments: “We have been delighted with the uptake of our viaEuropa service since its launch in 2010. During that time the service has evolved significantly to meet the growing demands of the UK public sector. Given the ongoing trend of austerity it is especially important that these organisations are able to use agile, cloud-based services to optimise their use of resources and deliver ongoing cost savings. We are delighted to be able to help them to meet that strategic goal”.
The new viaEuropa Cloud service options include support for gazetteer services, optionally using OS AddressBase Premium, together with new support for vector feature geometries using Web Feature Services (WFS). For further information or a free trial, visit www.europa.uk.com/viaeuropa/
