OSNI 250K Raster
Each raster image is made up of a series of equally sized cells (or pixels) arranged in rows and columns. 1:250,000 raster is cartographically identical to the paper Holiday North map. OSNI raster images are geo-referenced so that they display in their right geographic location when viewed in a Geographic Information (GI) software package. The product includes complete coverage of Northern Ireland and border counties of the Republic of Ireland. It shows roads (with A and B class roads numbered), railways, villages, towns, cities, county boundaries and selected points of interest. It also shows forests, rivers, place names, car parks, picnic sites, golf courses, caravan parks, and antiquity sites. Altitude tinting gives a clear indication of terrain height.
