PRESS RELEASE
Founder of Europa Technologies wins Ruban d'Honneur at the prestigious European Business Awards 2009
2 December 2008 - For immediate release
On Thursday 27 November, the organisers of the European Business Awards announced the names of the finalists for the International Entrepreneur of the Year 2009. As one of only ten finalists in this category from 27 European countries, Warren Vick of Europa Technologies will be presented with a Ruban d'Honneur award in recognition of his entrepreneurial success, on an international scale.
On 7 April 2009, all Ruban d'Honneur recipients will gather in Rome for an awards ceremony where the winner in each of the ten award categories will be announced.
Prior to collecting his award and as part of the judging process to decide the overall winner, Warren will present to a panel of Judges drawn from industry experts from across Europe and consisting of heads of state, industrialists and media commentators.
Warren founded Europa Technologies in the early 1990's to develop comprehensive world maps with rich features for the entire world. Today, the company licenses its range of products directly and through a network of over 100 resellers worldwide. On hearing news of the award Warren said, "Although we are a small Surrey-based company, our products are deployed across the globe and to receive recognition for this achievement on a European scale gives all of us at Europa Technologies much to celebrate. To be a finalist in our first year of entering the awards is a great boost for the company and I look forward to meeting my fellow finalists and presenting to the judging panel in more detail."
